Three things I learned today.
1. One of the easiest excuses to make is “I don’t have the
time.” Also known as the biggest
lie. If something is important, there is
time. Maybe it’s just 20 minutes. But there is always time to do what needs to
be done. Tonight I got home at six. I had to be at a meeting for seven. That allowed for a 20 minute workout. And I was still early to my meeting. Granted, the fact it is 20some degrees out
made this a lot easier in that I could delay the shower part until I got home. Maybe you didn’t really need to know that part.
2. Today was #Lovetheatre day on Twitter. I really hate hashtags. I don’t much get Twitter. But I think it’s amazing that (of course it
was the UK) there was a movement of theater appreciation and celebration. I wish all the haters on socialism would
understand how a system like that can support the arts. Maybe that’s an extreme sentiment… but,
honestly it’s largely because of the National Theatre that I have such
socialist leanings. Well, that and the
whole taking care of the poor like Jesus taught me thing. (It’s really kind of funny that Pandora just
decided to play Jesus Christ Superstar as I finished that sentence.)
3. In the middle of huge changes, it is actually the
smallest movements that create the biggest shift. I can’t expand too much on this one, as it
has to do with work. But I can say a
smile or a nod is sometimes the loudest expression one can make.
